Word Warrior is a collection of poetry and prose. It is rife with insights, hindsight, reflections, regrets, celebrations, loss, family, friends, aching bones, breaking hearts, faith, hope, and love.
The book contains a love song I wrote for Donya in 1979 and a piece of a song I wrote about a stranger when I was just 15. It also contains poetry written as recently as April 2023. Its subject matter ranges from the silly to the sublime, from the deeply personal to the speculative, and from the irreverent to oh-so-reverent. This is not just my journey in rhyme; it is the journey of us all. It is your journey. See if you don’t see you in its pages!
I would love for you to read it and share your feedback with me here or on Facebook. An Amazon review is always nice, too, as long as I am putting you out. But I do not believe you will be put out by purchasing the book. I think you will be pleased. If you are not, I will empathetically pat you on the back and say, “There, there.”
If that isn’t good enough, I will refund your money but no pats on the back for you.
Seriously, I hope you will take me seriously and get your very own copy of my blood, sweat, tears, and joy.
In any case, God bless you and yours.
