a poem
There's a shadow on my wall It can't be mine It's much too tall It shrinks With the noonday sun Then stretches out again There's an ember in my eye You put it there It will not die It glows It pierces the darkest hour A spark of light In the black of night Sparking hope Igniting power I walk by Faith And not by Sight written April 30, 2024
The shadow we cast is bigger than we think.
The fires we ignite burn brighter than we know.
